FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Congratulations to our Academic Bowl Team. They placed 3rd overall in a two day competition with other schools that feed Bishop Ready. Special thanks to Miss Cotter and Mrs. Krautter for their preparation and guidance.

 

2008/2009 REGISTRATION

If you have not turned in your registration for the 2008/2009 school, please do so as soon as possible!  We are in the middle of open enrollment and grades are filling up.

 

FACTS Tuition Payment Plan

FACTS Tuition Payment plan applications were sent home with students on Friday.  If you plan to use the monthly tuition payment plan and did not receive the form, please call the school office.

 

HAT DRIVE FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

St. Mary Magdalene Student Council will be sponsoring a “new” hat collection for patients of Children’s Hospital.  The dates for the hat collection are April 9th through April 30th.  The hats can be of any size or style BUT MUST BE NEW.  The hats can be dropped off at the school office or Mrs. Byrom’s classroom.  Please help us reach our goal number of 200 “new” hats.  Thank you for helping us help others.

 

FLOWER SALE

The Home and School Flower Sale started Wednesday, April 9 and will run through Monday, April 21.  The youngest child in each family brought home an order form and catalogue with flyer explaining the sale in detail.  This year there will be one Grand Prize for the family who sells the most flowers:  A choice between 4 Season Passes to Zoombezi Bay Water Park at the Columbus Zoo, an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati for up to 6, or $250.00 in Tuition Credit for the upcoming school year.  There will also be Mystery Cash Candy Bars – for every three items sold your family will receive one candy bar.  Thirty mystery candy bars will have cash hidden in them.  If you need additional information or extra order forms, please call Lisa Fulcher in the School Office, 279-9935.  The children and staff of St. Mary Magdalene benefit from your continued support of Home and School Fundraisers. 

 

PLAYGROUND MULCH

A big THANK YOU to our Home and School Association for purchasing much needed mulch for the play ground.  Another big THANK YOU to Mr. Bush for getting the mulch and to all who helped spread it on the playground.  The SMM students and teachers appreciate it so, so much!!!!

 

PARISH PASTA NIGHT

Please join the SMM “family” for the 1st annual Parish Pasta Night, Sunday May, 4 from 5 – 7 in the Church Hall.  Menu includes Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce, Homemade Italian Meatballs, Italian Sausage with Peppers and Onions, Shrimp Scampi, Italian Dinner Salad, Italian Bread served with Dipping Oil, Beverage and Dessert.  Adults (12 and over), $10. Seniors, $9.  Children ages 5 – 11, $5. Children under 5, free.  Takeout available.

 

 

ART SHOW 2007/2008

Please come and enjoy artwork done by St. Mary Magdalene students grades K – 8 in the Church Hall after Mass on Sunday, May 4 and during the Parish Pasta Night.  There will be a silent auction for artwork done by students in grade 8 to benefit the SMM Art Department.

 

MEMORIAL BRICK GARDEN

The Saint Mary Magdalene Memorial Brick Garden is a wonderful way to celebrate and honor past, present and future members of our parish and school community.  Each brick can contain three lines with each line containing thirteen characters.  The cost for each brick is $50.00 or two for $75.00.  You can obtain an order form at the display in the church gathering space, online at www.saintmarymag.org or in the school office.  Please contact Meg Cline at 853-3067 with any questions.
