From The Principal

As we get into more inclement weather, the chance for a snow or ice day increases. I will do my best to alert all school families of the closing in a timely manner through the emergency phone and email system. The best

alternative is Channels 6 and 28. They have a continual running update and "Columbus Catholic Schools" are specifically designated. Please do not call the school office. Thank you.

STUDENT COUNCIL

The last Student Council meeting was January 4, 2012.  We discussed the Valentine’s Day Candy Sale. We will be holding the candy sale during Catholics Schools Week.  All items, candy with a message from the sender, will be sold for 50 cents.  Candy will be delivered on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, during lunchtime.

Student Council also reviewed the results of our bake sale which was held on December 13 & 14. We are proud to announce that we successfully raised $106.00 which was split into two $50 VISA gift cards for families in need in the SMM community.  Thank you for all of your support!  All are welcome to our next meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

BOX TOPS REMINDER

The second quarter Box Tops competition will be ending next Friday, January 13th.  Please be sure to send in any Box Tops you may have at home.  The class who brings in the most Box Tops receives a Dress Down Day!  The winner will be announced the week of January 16th. There will be a third quarter Box Tops competition which will run from January 16th through March 23rd.  Please continue to clip and send in Box Tops…it’s a great, easy way for the school to earn money for the students!!  Thank you for all of your support!
