Next Thursday and Friday,
every Catholic educator in Ohio will be in Cincinnati for the OCEA Convention.
This is held every two years. There will be classes, workshops, and displays
designed to enhance all aspects of Catholic education. All of our teachers will
be there in search of new ideas.
The Fall Fundraiser was a
huge success! Thanks to your hard work,
this fundraiser earned over $5500. This
money goes to teacher support and your student’s education. Thank you for your support.
All students grades 4
through 8 will be taking the Terra Nova Tests the week of October 15. Please make sure that your child is well fed,
gets good rest and does not have any appointments during that week.
Please remember the walk is
tomorrow, October 6. Registration begins
at 8:30 with walk starting at 9:00 and complimentary pancake breakfast at 9:30
for all walkers. Walk donation is $5.00
per person, $15.00 per family. Please
make check payable to the Carol A. Flanagan’s Footsteps Walk. Entry forms are available at the walk or in
the school office.
The 8th Grade
Civics Club is sponsoring their first of several dress down/skating party days
for our school. Our first skating party
this year will be Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30 – 9:00pm at
Skate America (Grove City). Tickets go
on sale at school Friday October 5th for $3.00. The price at the door is $4.00. In addition, if you buy a $3.00 presale
ticket you will also receive a free dress down pass for Wednesday, October 10. If you don’t wish to go to the skating party,
you can still buy a dress down pass for $2.00.
Remember, there is NO SCHOOL on October 11 & 12. Let’s see a great turnout for our 1st
skating party of the school year!
The Saint Mary Magdalene
Memorial Brick Garden is a wonderful way to celebrate and honor past, present
and future members of our parish and school community. Each brick can contain three lines with each
line containing thirteen characters. The
cost for each brick is $50.00 or two for $75.00. You can obtain an order form at the display
in the church gathering space, online at www.saintmarymag.org
or in the school office. Please contact
Meg Cline at 853-3067 with any questions.
Mark your calendars for the
annual Trunk or Treat sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. This years date is Sunday, October 26. Families wishing to decorate their cars
should be on the school campus by 2:00.
Trunk or Treating starts at 3:00 with a Halloween party in the Church
