One of the themes we
continue to work on with the students is how we treat each other. Our faculty
and staff work hard to model Christian behavior toward one another and the
students. Throughout the year, at assemblies and in class, we will be
reinforcing this. It is our goal to educate and nurture every aspect of our
students- academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
All Fundraiser forms and
money were due on Wednesday, September 26.
NO ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER MONDAY, OCTOBER 1. If you have any questions, please call
Debbie Bush, 279-3829.
This month Market Day has
challenged our school to increase our customer count by 10 over last year at
this time. With just 87 orders,
totaling at least $4953, Market Day will donate $400 worth of Scholastic Books
to SMM. This goal is easily reachable
if just a few families from each classroom (and of course our loyal customers)
give Market Day a try! Order forms can
be turned in to the school office by Tuesday, October 2nd or orders can be
placed online at www.marketday.com Order pickup is Saturday, October 6th
from 9 – 10am in the school gym. Thanks
for your support!!
On Friday, October 5 we
will be dressing down in denim to support breast cancer research. There is a $1.00 donation for each student
to dress down in denim that day. If you
have any questions, please call the school office.
Registration begins at 8:30
with walk starting at 9:00 and complimentary pancake breakfast at 9:30 for all
walkers. Walk donation is $5.00 per
person, $15.00 per family. Please make
check payable to the Carol A. Flanagan’s Footsteps Walk. Entry forms are available at the walk or in
the school office.
The 8th Grade
Civics Club is sponsoring their first of several dress down/skating party days
for our school. Our first skating party
this year will be Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30 – 9:00pm at
Skate America (Grove City). Tickets go
on sale at school Friday October 5th for $3.00. The price at the door is $4.00. In addition, if you buy a $3.00 presale
ticket you will also receive a free dress down pass for Wednesday, October
10. If you don’t wish to go to the
skating party, you can still buy a dress down pass for $2.00. Remember, there is NO SCHOOL on October 11
& 12. Let’s see a great turnout for
our 1st skating party of the school year!
The Saint Mary Magdalene
Memorial Brick Garden is a wonderful way to celebrate and honor past, present
and future members of our parish and school community. Each brick can contain three lines with each
line containing thirteen characters.
The cost for each brick is $50.00 or two for $75.00. You can obtain an order form at the display
in the church gathering space, online at www.saintmarymag.org
or in the school office. Please contact
Meg Cline at 853-3067 with any questions.
