We are dressing down on two days next week. The 8th grade class will dress down on Wednesday, September 30th. All grades K-7 will dress down on Friday, October 2. Cost is $1.00 to dress down. We will send all money that is collected to All Saints Academy in Mrs. Barbara Cooper’s name. Mrs. Cooper was the principal at All Saints. She passed away this past month after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Fingerprinting will take place at Bishop Ready High School on Wednesday, September 30 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Cost is $40.00. Please remember, to volunteer and/or go on field trips with the children you must be fingerprinted. There are no exceptions!!!
This DVD driven parenting class dealing with Middle School and High School challenges for children will be held Oct. 6, Oct. 13 and Oct. 20. This program is required by SMM and Bishop Ready. A flyer went home with students grades 6-8. Parents can call the office with questions and to register.
Thanks to everyone who helped make Home & School’s Fall Fundraiser a great success! We more than doubled our sales from last year’s fundraiser and raised over $3,500 for our kids and school! Congratulations to the Puccetti Family, our Grand Prize winners!
Pickup for Mumkins and candles will be Wednesday, September 30 from 2:30 – 6:00 pm in the school gym. Butter Braid orders will be sent home with students October 15. Call Tiffany Rosinski (308-0010) or Rae Klosterman (276-4023) with any questions.
Halloween “Trunk or Treat” for all parish children, pre-school to grade 6 is Sunday, October 25th, 3:00 pm around the church. The kids walk around the church on the sidewalks going from parked car to parked car, or thus “trunk or treat” collecting their Halloween goodies. Cars parked around the church are decorated. See the flyer that was sent home earlier this week for more information.
St. Mary Magdalene Church will hold its Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 14, from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, in the church hall. Come join us and do some shopping and have lunch. If you would like to be a vendor and rent a table the cost is $20.00, call Mary Gerlach at 274-8935 for details. If you would like to donate craft items you have made call Mrs. Gerlach. We have a beautiful quilt made by ladies of the parish to raffle. A picture of the quilt can be seen in the school office. Tickets are $1.00 a piece or 6 for $5.00.
Get in the game! Join the Western Lanes Fall Youth Bowling Program. Join anytime from now until January. Only $7 (Bumpers) or $10 (8 years and older) per week. To register go to Western Lanes or get a registration form in the school office.
