Calling all SMM Alumni. We are looking for all SMM graduates (or those who attended) to register on our new alumni page at our school website. Please register and encourage your friends and relatives to do so. We are planning some alumni activities and communications. Thanks!!
Fingerprinting will take place at Bishop Ready High School on Wednesday, September 30 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Cost is $40.00. Please remember, to volunteer and/or go on field trips with the children you must be fingerprinted. There are no exceptions!!!
Effective immediately: Please do not use any Scrip Order forms dated before 9-9-09. Updated forms can be downloaded from the SMM website, or you can get them from the school office. There are many vendors that are no longer participating, some new vendors have been added and there are some percentage and price changes from previous forms. Any orders sent to the office on old forms will be returned without an order being placed. Thanks.
Parents it is a must that you send a note to the school office each time your child is absent from school, even if you called the office to report the absence. This is especially important if your student received an EdChoice Scholarship. Please remember to call the school office before 9:00 am if your child will be late or absent.
We already have several students who have been tardy more than once this school year. Please note your child will receive a detention that begins at 7:00 am for every five tardies they accumulate in a grading period. If your student is tardy 10 or more times they will receive an unexcused absence.
St. Mary Magdalene parish will begin its RCIA program on Sunday, September 13 at 7:00 in the church. This program allows adults to learn about the Catholic Church and possible become a member. If you are interested, please call the rectory at 274-1121.
The Home and School Fall Fundraisers are well underway. You still have this weekend to get orders from friends, family and co-workers! Order forms with money are due on Tuesday, September 15. If you have any questions, please call Tiffany Rosinski, 308-0010.
Western Bowling Lanes is offering a Kids Bowling League on Saturdays for 30 weeks. Registration is September 12 at Western Bowling. Cost is $7.00 for Bumpers, $9.00 for Preps, and $10 for Junior and Senior. If you have any questions, please call Western Bowling Lanes.
September 23rd & 24th from 3:30 – 5:00 at Bishop Ready High School for girls ages 4 – 13. Cost is $40 per girl. Performance at Friday’s (September 25th) game at 7:30 p.m. at Hilliard Bradley High School. Please RSVP to Michelle Kelly by September 16 at 276-7827.
