SAINT MARY MAGDALENE NEWSLETTER

Issue #2                   September 7, 2007

FROM THE PRINCIPAL

This year, our staff will focus on two goals from our recent accreditation process. Our Catholic goal focuses on Catholic values, traditions, and beliefs; and our student learning goal focuses on Thinking and Reasoning. Classroom activities and school-wide themes will center around these two goals.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Children’s Liturgy will return on September 9 at the 11:00 Mass.  Children 12 and under are welcome to come downstairs to celebrate the Word of God.  Adults:  we are encouraging you to come and share your creativity and joy with us.  Would you like to help with children’s liturgy once a month?  If so, please call Chris Ferko at 275-0562.

ORIENTATION PACKETS

Parents, if you have not turned in your papers from the packet you received at orientation, please do so as soon as possible.  During the year if your home phone or work phone numbers change, please notify the office right away.  We must have a number to reach you in case of emergency.

FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH

If you think you are eligible for free or reduced lunch, please send the application to the office by next week.  Remember you need to resubmit an application each school year.  Letters notifying parents who submitted forms of their eligibility were sent home with students this week.

Adults wishing to learn about the Catholic Church can come to the RCIA program starting September 9 at 7:00 in the Church.
