ART NEWS

It is my pleasure to begin my first year at St. Mary Magdalene School as your child’s Art teacher.  I come to SMM with 7 years of Art teaching experience.  Most of my teaching experience has taken place at the secondary level in Wisconsin, where my family relocated for 8 years.  With our return to Ohio, we are happy to be near family, friends and Buckeye fans once again.

My husband Dan and I have a 4 year old son, named Sam, and a one month old son, named Tucker.  We are both graduates of Miami University.  In addition to my bachelor’s degree, in Art Education, I also received my masters in Education with a concentration in learning disabilities in Wisconsin.  In my spare time, I enjoy working in chalk pastel and acrylic paint.  I also have a mural painting business, called Magnolia Daydreams.

As I move in to my classroom, I look forward to meeting your students and getting to know your families.  If any of you are artists, I’d love to incorporate your skills into my classes.  Also, if you have extras of any of the items listed below, I’d appreciate you sending them to school with your student.  I look forward to working with you this year.  Cordially, Maggie Rapp Boggess.
